How do I tell that engine oil needs changing?

Manual measurement or change in its volume: - increase in engine oil level observed on the dipstick and discovered by measuring it at regular intervals informs, that the engine oil is diluted with fuel - due to the cylinder-piston surfaces lubrication and sealing processes, there are no engines with zero lubricant consumption, - non-oil particles visible on the dipstick (water) inform that water, a component of every coolant, is present in the lubricant.

In both cases the engine's condition needs to be checked and we do not recommend using the engine without visiting a service station.

Every engine oil has dispersive properties allowing to wash aw...
