Which oil should be used in Winter?

Owners of new car models, in which new-generation engines are installed, the ones not requiring frequent filling of motor oil, should apply synthetic oil of the viscosity grade 5W-40 or 5W-30 according to the quality recommended by the engine manufacturer. These oils allow the engine start up to -35C and easy start at the temperature up to -30C, ensuring its protection regardless of driving conditions.

Oils having the aforementioned viscosity grade are perfect for the weather conditions we have in Poland. We should remember that 1-2 weeks of frost when we have to use our car and start-related problems in this period may cause greater damage in the engine wear and tear than savings resulting from purchase of cheaper oils 10W40; 15W40.

Note! Viscosity conditions used in the engine should always be checked with the instructions for its use, where basic ranges for ambient conditions are specified.
